Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Yogurt Cake

Delicious right?
I stole this recipe from one of my favorite food blogs, How Sweet It Is, but added my own twist to it.
Woody ate 2 bites and decided he didn’t like it because it had Greek yogurt in it (apparently he doesn’t like Greek yogurt…) so I was forced to eat the rest of the pan.
It took me 3 days.
But still.
I’ll have to try making it again but with regular yogurt this time, then maybe he will eat it. We’ll see.

(adapted from howsweeteats.com‘s Dark Chocolate Yogurt Cake)

3 Tbs butter
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 1/2 Tbs cocoa powder
3/4 greek yogurt(I used honey flavored Zoi)
1/4 c milk
3/4 c chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350.

Butter and flour an 8×8 cake pan.
Cream butter and sugar til fluffy, then beat in egg and vanilla.

Add cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt and mix til combined.

Add yogurt and mix until the batter is smooth, then add the milk and continue mixing until everything is well blended. Fold in chocolate chips.

Pour in pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until set.

On How Sweet It Is, she served hers with whipped cream and cocoa syrup, and I served mine with my favorite Tillamook vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Either way I’m sure is delicious!
